I love the book. It’s so interesting. I wish i had more memories from my Grandmother from Finland.
Specially I like also the old photos.
Now it’s great to see new photos from the same places and with the Author of the book.
What a great idea.
Then and now… These photos are a lovely way to “bridge” the timeline. While my mental images of Elsie up to now have been faded, sepia-toned, black-and-white pictures, your new photos jar my brain into comprehending Elsie’s real world back then was stunningly vibrant and in Technicolor.
Thanks Marcie- Old photos do tend to create in our mind a sepia-toned life. Oak Creek is just beautiful and sitting there where she sat nearly 100 years ago was a super nostalgic moment. Thanks much for your generous review.

If you double click on these pictures they will enlarge. Thanks to Marcie for the idea of the book alongside the creek.

I’ve reread the book and recommended it to others- my daughter’s mother in law ordered it- I’ve yet to find out how she liked it.
Love these pics!!
Thanks so much Connie. Word of mouth really helps sales. Thanks for your generous review.
